Mr. Tauro’s Farewell Central Trading Co. arranged a farewell party to Mr. Tauro, Senior Sales Manager (Michelin Products) on January 31, 2012. Mr. Aqel thanked him for the valuable support and expressed his gratitude for the 34 years of service. Mr. Atallah, Mr. Ambi& Mr. Suresh also shared their experience in their farewell speeches.

The participation was intended to display Blue Star products and to reach out to our valuable customers and provide them with adequate product knowledge from our Sales Staff.
Federal Tyres successful in the Australian DYBD 500km race
Conroy Motorsport in association with Federal Motorsport Tyres set a high goal throughout the weekend of the Dial Before You Dig AMC 500,round four of the Australian Manufacturers Championship at Melbournes prestigious Sandown Park International Raceway in Victoria Sept. 2011. The Teams Honda Integra Type S co driven by Jake Williams and Richard Mork was crowned the Class D Production Touring winner finishing in the top ten, plus they were the first non turbo car to finish amongst a field of thirty odd cars. The Honda was fitted with Federal’s race-bred FZ-201 R Spec Radial tyre that covered the whole race and qualifying without a tyre change, which no other team could even match, highlighting Federal’s technology and product innovation in its consistent performance. Federals FZ201's stability under brakes--cornering and outstanding durability contributed to Conroy Motorsports Honda Integra 100% finishing record in two 12 Hour an 8 hour a 6 hour and the 500 over the past three years of endurance racing in Australia with class victories and top ten finishes.
CITEXPO 2011
GM visited the CITEXPO 2011 (China International Tyre Expo) that was held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center in China Sept. 7-9, 2011. It is one of the world’s most influential and largest tyre trade shows in the Asian region and the result has exceeded all expectations as the organizers claim that there were 3030 international and 4160 domestic visitors from 103 countries and 32 Chinese provinces. The exhibitors included worldwide suppliers from 5 continents such as the US, UK, Germany, Korea, India, Australia, Netherlands, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan etc. During the expo, there were also seminars conducted by the US Department of Transportation, Chinese Tire Standardization and Technology Committee and the Chinese National Product Quality Bureau to refresh the manufacturers’ knowledge in ensuring that their products are up to standard quality.
Iftar party 2011
Central Trading Company organized an Iftar party on August 10, 2011. All the Central Trading Company staff were invited and their presence made the party a great success. Our General Manager Mr. Aqel shared with the attendees the year to date results and thanked all staff for their valuable contribution.
Dubai Police Seminar
In coordination with Dubai Police, Central Trading Co. and Michelin held a seminar on Tyre Safety During the Summer Months on July 7, 2011 at Dubai Police Headquarters. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Rami Iskandar of Michelin and supported by Mr. Hany Abdul Samad, Michelin Marketing Manager and Mr. Atallah, Commerical Manager CTC. Lieutenant Saif Muhair Saeed Al Mazroui, Deputy Head of the Dubai Police Traffic Department participated in the seminar and shared his valuable views.
Michelin Fill Up With Air Promotion
Central Trading Co. and Michelin conducted “Fill Up With Air” campaign during the month of June 2011 at RTA Customer Service Centres in Al Barsha, Deira and Um Ramoul. Main objective of this campaign was to create public safety awareness. Central Trading Company and Michelin staff attended to more than 500 customers in 3 weeks.
Arexons Visit
Giovana Sironi, Export Manager of Petronas Lubricants Italy Spa Arexons visited Central Trading Co. on June 9, 2011 and had a meeting with Mr. Aqel and Mr. Neela to reviewvarious strategies to increase the market shares of Arexons brand in the UAE market and a partnership with Carrefour chain of supermarket as well as EPPCO.
Blue Star Visit
Central Trading Co. and Blue Star held a meeting on June 19, 2011. The meeting was attended by our GM. Mr. Mohammed Aqel, Mr. Satish Jamdar, MD (Blue Star India), Mr. H P Dudani, GM (Blue Star UAE) and Mr. Siju Abraham, Senior Sale Engineer (CTC). During the meeting, future plans and strategies to improve the sales of Blue Star products in UAE market were discussed and agreed.
FB Visit
Mr. F. Kikuchi, General Manager, FB Battery Co. LTD., Mr. A. Isono Overseas Operations Manager, FB Battery Co. LTD., visited Central Trading Co. on June 22, 2011 and met with managers and Mr. Aqel. During the meeting future plans to strengthen the presence of FB batteries in UAE market were discussed and agreed which will enable our company to grow our share in this battery segment in a big way.
Central Trading Company Annual General Meeting 2011
Central Trading Company organized Annual General Sales Meeting and Employee gathering on April 14, 2011, at JW Marriott, Dubai. The Meeting was attended by Central Trading Company Sales Managers and Executives. After the meeting our General Manager, Mr. Mohammed Aqel, honored employees celebrating milestone anniversaries in Central Trading Company through a dinner and award ceremony, the dinner was attended by all staff of CTC. He thanked all the Central Trading Company employees for their hard work and dedication.

We recently opened our latest Tyre Plus branch in Ajman, on April 11, 2011. The ribbon cutting ceremony was officiated  by our General Manager Mr. Mohammed Aqel and Michelin Commercial Director Mr. Sylvain Coisnon.
